The signatories of the letter anti-Dragnea back away

The vice-chairman of the social-democrats Gabriela Firea said that there were 25 signatures on the joint statement regarding the state of PSD but during the meeting on Friday of the Executive Committee ony 11 people kept their support for this document.

‘There were 25 signatures on the joint statement regarding the state of PSD.At the meeting in the morning before the CEx we were 17,in the meeting only 11 and there was an abstainee. I think that you should ask them why they backed away and gave up what had been agreed on. I think that before anything else we have to be dignified and I am convinced that chairman Dragnea appreciated the dignity of those who took the action to its end and I don’tthink he thinks highly of those who,for different reasons, did not support firmly what they had said before in public statements or through the gesture of signing such a document’ Firea said, before the meeting of the Standing National Bureau of PSD.Asked how her colleagues had been convinced to back away Firea said that she had no clear evidence only information obtained ‘ on certain halls’.

Vice-chairman PSD Adrian Tutuianu stated on Monday that although he voted against the support  of Liviu Dragnea at the CExN of last Friday the minority must obey the majority and irrespective of what party they are  situated on,all members of the party want to continue the governing.

Similarly, asked about the collaboration with Liviu Dragnea if he supported the contestants Adrian Tutuianu said” I think that the greatness of a person is to work with those who support him and with all those who fight him’.

Vice-chairman Paul Stanescu stated on Monday at the Parliament after the BPN meeting of PSD that the opposition is wrong when thinking of ‘ revoking Liviu Dragnea from the position of  speaker of the Deputies’ Chamber, stating that the PSD deputies will not support this action.

Paul Stanescu signed with Gabriela Firea and Adrian Tutuianu a ‘Statement regarding the State of the Social Democrat Party’,document published last week and which contains 19 measures, the first being the resignation  of Liviu Dragnea from the position of PSD chairman and from the position of speaker of the Deputies’ Chamber.
