The annual rate of inflation in the European Union has continued to increase in May up to 8.8% from 8.1% in April, the member states with the highest rates being Estonia (20.1%), Lithuania (18.5%), Latvia (16.8%), the Czech Republic (15.2%), Bulgaria (13.4%), and Romania (12.4%), show the data published on Friday by Eurostat.
