Slovenia's president sends solidarity message to Klaus Iohannis and Romanian people

Borut Pahor, the president of Slovenia, conveyed on Facebook,  a message of solidarity to president Klaus Iohannis and the Romanian people about the joint fight against Covid 19.

“Dear Mr. President, dear Klaus, dear Romanian friends, as president of Slovenia and on behalf of all Slovenians I express our solidarity in the joint fight against the new coronavirus. We express our profound admiration for the Romanian people who prove determination, courage and hope during these hard times. Slovenia feels your sadness and is happy for your achievements. United with the European peoples and states, together we will prevail. All will be well!”, said the head of the Slovenian state in his message.

The text in Romanian with Borut Pahor was posted on Facebook on May 5 and the Slovenian Embassy informed about the message on Thursday.

On March 12, the Ljubljana government declared an epidemic caused by the new coronavirus and president Borut Pahor addressed his countrymen on the same day.

In the following weeks until May 6, Borut Pahor sent messages to all EU member states, to their leaders and citizens in the 23 EU official languages. The messages of the Slovenian president were published on the official website and on his official Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts where he has over a quarter of a million followers.
