Study: 12% of the Romanians say that they have cryptocurrency, the double against the French and the British
Nofewer than 12%of the Romanian interviewees stated they have cryptocurrency, a share twice bigger than the British or the French,according to a study published on Wednesday by ING which included 13 countries in Europe, the US and Australia.
The Romanians were surpassed by the Turks only, 18% of the latter stating that they had cryptocurrency the study mentions. Similarly, the Romanians were 3 percentage points over the average at European level which is9%.
‘In Turkey the online study could be influenced by the young professionals who use the media more. In Romania we think that the effect is probably similar’ ING says.
The study was made only by Ipsos for the ING group between 26 March and 6 April 2018 on a total sampleof 14,828 people, approximately 1,000in each country, with the exception of Luxembourg where there were only 500 interviewees.
According to ING the Romanians were followed by the Poles (11%), the Czech (9%). Similarly, fewer cryptocurrency than the Romanians 8% consider as having the Austrians, the Germans, the Italians and the Americans.
Only 7% of the Dutch and the Australians stated that they have cryptocurrency and the Belgians only 5% of them have such placements.
The last in the ranking is from Luxembourg only 4% of the interviewees although they are among the richest Europeans and even among the richest inhabitants of the world.
