The 5th edition of WCCE is taking place in Bucharest, June 8-10, 2016
The World Credit & Exhibition team officially opened the trading session of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Wednesday, marking the importance of this global event for the local business community, and also for Romania, set to host the congress for the first time as a Central and Eastern Europe country.
The 5th edition of WCCE, a global summit of credit and collection professionals, is taking place in Bucharest at the JW Marriott Hotel, June 8-10, 2016. The opening event of the trading session was attended, besides WCCE team members and the Bucharest Stock Exchange, by some of the speakers and the main sponsors of the congress.
"The WCCE will gather more than 300 specialists from 25 countries on five continents working with corporations, consultancy companies or in credit risk management and financial intermediation, as well as academic organisations," said Cristian Ionescu, Managing Partner, Expense Reduction Analysts Romania and member of the International Organizing Committee of the World Credit Congress.
He mentioned the importance of Bucharest City hosting an event of world calibre that gathers officials of an industry that facilitates and guarantees trillions of US dollars.
"We are honoured by the invitation of the President of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, Lucian Anghel, to open the trading session of the Bucharest Stock Exchange to mark the official opening of the World Credit Congress 2016. It is a joy to see a large global event in Bucharest and to have with us dozens of speakers of international stature to support the development of credit risk management, representatives of an industry that facilitates and guarantees trillions of dollars, contributing to the development of global trade," Ionescu added.
In his turn, BVB Chairman Lucian Anghel said it is important for Romania to increase its visibility on this market so that people may get to know the country and its beautiful places so that they may return and invest.
"The financing of the economy and particularly the SME sector is essential in the economic development of any country. Lack of access to diversified sources of funding can be a major obstacle to creating new jobs, investment and wealth. We hope that this important international event will facilitate access to information and sharing of best practices in the field," said Anghel.
WCCE is organised by International Collections Manager and Leadership Events, in partnership with Doingbusuness.ro and BusinessMark, with support from the Tao Institute for Credit & Risk Management and Expense Reduction Analysts.
