The Trandniester leader Evgeni Sevtchiouk met Dmitr Rogozin in Moscow
The separatist leader in Tiraspol, Evgeni Sevchiuk met on Thursday in Moscow the Russian vicepremier Dmitr Rogozin, relates the Transdniestr agency Novosti PMR.During this meeting topics connected to the Transdniester social-economic situation were discussed and the influence of the Ukraine crisis on the region on the left side of the Dniester.At the same time, Sevchiuk and Rogozin discussed the consequences the signing by the Republic of Moldova of the Association Agreement with the European Union.
According to the press service of the president in Tiraspol ‘ special attention was offered to the situation of the Russian citizens who live inTransdniester’.At the same time, Sevchiuk had meetings with the representatives with several ministries in Russia. Meanwhile, in Vienna happened a new round of negotiations in the format 5+2 (between Kishinev and Tiraspol, with Russia, Ukraine and OSCE as mediators and the EU and the US as observers).During this meeting, the situation of the schools with Romanian as teaching language in the Transdniester region, as well as the ‘economic blockage’ were discussed.
Previously, Evgeni Sevchiuk and Dmitr Rogozin had a meeting on 9 May in Tiraspol when the Russian vicepremier received petitions on the part of the inhabitants in Transdniester regarding the independence of the region.
