Healthcare: Gov't wants the in-depth rehabilitation of health care infrastructure
The Government envisages the in-depth rehabilitation of health care infrastructure, and in this line, the feasibility studies for the construction of two new hospitals have been completed: the "Marie Curie" Children's Hospital and the "C.C. Iliescu" Cardiovascular Diseases Institute, the government's spokesman Dan Suciu said on Thursday at the Victoria Palace.
The government's representative added that the EU-financed projects for the construction of three regional hospitals in Craiova, Iasi and Cluj will also be sped up.
"All the crises in the recent months have shown us that the health sector has serious managerial dysfunctions no one has approached in the last years. It's time to no longer overlook them. The way the management contracts in public hospitals are observed needs to be reconsidered, as well as the way hospital units report to central and local authorities. The government will also address these issues," said Dan Suciu.
He added that all the measures announced by the government can contribute to reinstating confidence in the health system.
