Infrastructure: New air company will fly to Istanbul from Cluj International Airport
Pegasus Airlines will operate, as of June 2, regular flights from Cluj International Airport to Istanbul, Turkey, three times a week.
According to a press release of Cluj International Airport, the flights announced by Pegasus Airlines to Istanbul will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from the second largest Turkish airport, Sabiha Gokcen International Airport.
This airport is one of the international airports with the most impressive recent development, which recorded over 28 million passengers in 2015.
Pegasus Airlines is a leader on the low cost market in Turkey, with 103 destinations in 40 countries.
Marius Minzat, the chairman of Cluj County Council considers that a new company entering Cluj International Airport will bring new dynamics to tourism and commercial changes in the area.
Regular passenger flights of the companies Tarom, Lufthansa, WizzAir, Lot Polish Airlines, Blue Air, Vuelig and Pegasus Airlines will be operated from “Avram Iancu” International Aiport in Cluj.
