Real estate : Residential projects used 1,000 ha of farming land around Bucharest

The farming area of Bucharest has been reduced in the last 5 years by 1000 ha because of urban development and intense building activities that determined the increase of demand for lands of former factories and for farming areas on the outskirts of the city. According to real estate analysts from CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), about 2900 ha were withdrawn from the farming circuit in Ilfov county in the same period of time.
