Tourism : Number of foreign tourists on the Romanian sea side started to grow
The number of foreign tourists who spend their holiday on the Romanian seaside started to grow, the main resort being Mamaia, stated on Monday the chairwoman of the Asociation Litoral – Delta Dunarii, Corina Martin.
‘We still work with 95% Romanian tourists. We are growing on the sector of foreign tourists, after many years of trials, the growth being due to the success of Mamaia which came out with international brand, which is better and better known. We are present on international markets, but we need promotion so that our efforts are not in vain’ stated the representative of ALDD in a press conference organised in Eforie Nord.
According to her, starting with 7 July there will land on Mihai Kogalniceanu aeroport the first charter operated by an Israeli tour operator, who will bring to the Romanian seaside almost 2,000 Israeli tourists. The tourists opted for hotels in the north of Mamaia.
Other charters will bring to the seaside tourists from Poland and Belarus, ‘ the Poles coming back in spectacular numbers, over the last two years’ according to Corina Martin.
Other foreign tourists who opted in higher numbers for the resorts on the Romanian seaside are those from the Republic of Moldova, market on which there are many promotion actions.
The chairman of the association of hotel owners in Mamaia,Nicolae Bucovala stated that in Mamaia there are Italian tourists, the Romanian seaside being ‘asked’ by the touroperators from Slovakia, they opting for all-inclusive services.
