Until 2026 there are contracts for connection on the part of wind energy for 3,000 MW
The grid connection contracts are aimed, by 2025, at wind energy projects of about 3,000 MW, said Adrian Borotea, vice-president of the Romanian renewable Energy Association (RWEA), at a specialized conference.
He said that out of these connection contracts, over 80% have the chance to be turned in to projects.
Adrian Borotea mentioned that there are also issues which must be corrected in this domain, such as overtaxation, PPA approach (power purchase agreement), method of calculating the tax basis, etc.
He mentioned the ordnance draft which includes the limitation to 50 ha for wind and solar projects developed on agricultural land and also mentioned that a balance must be found as regards the approach from the point of view of agriculture and wind parks as well.
Borotea also mentioned during the ZF Power Summit 2023 that the association has at present 52 members, against 32 at the beginning of last year, and it is about new investors, the majority coming from abroad with the desire to invest in renewable energy, in wind energy.
