Alan Duncan sent that irrespective of the end of the Brexit,the rights of the Romanian citizens of the UK will be observed
The state minister for Europe and America of the UK Sir Alan Duncan sent to the minister for European Affairs George Ciamba that irrespective of the final of Brexit the rights of the Romanian citizens from the UK will be observed according to a press release of the MFA of Romania.
According to the quoted source George Ciamba had on Friday a phone conversation with sir Alan Duncan at the request of the British official.
‘The state minister for Europe and America of the UK repeated the insurance that, irrespective of the final of the Brexit, the rights of the Romanian citizens of the UK will be observed. Similarly, Sir Alan Duncan sent that the British premier Theresa May takes into consideration the adequate measure which allows a sustainable solution in the relation between the UK and the EU. The British official said that, despite the political difficulties in the legislative in London, there is the hope that the process of domestic consultation which is underway will allow the solution which will be the basis for the resumption of the dialogue with the EU’ MFA informs.
Sir Alan Duncan sent to the minister George Ciamba that the appreciates ‘the determination of the Romanian authorities to identify the necessary measures for the protection of the rights of the British citizens of Romania post-Brexit,irrespective of the scenario which will happen at the end of the process’.
In his turn,the minister George Ciamba said that Romania, as president of the Council of the European Union discusses with the other member states and with the European institutions as being ready to ensure the conditions for the dialogue as soon as the position of the British government is clear, the MFA press release shows.
