PM Dancile paied a working visit to Israel and met the Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila, who paied a working visit to Israel, on Friday had a meeting with the Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, among other things discussing the organisation of a joint meeting of the two countries' governments, in the first part of this year.

The two high officials hailed the excellent relations existing between the two countries, which is also reflected in the frequency of bilateral contacts at high level. In this respect, they also discussed about the organisation, in the first part of this year, of a joint meeting of the two countries' governments, informed a press release of the Government.

"Prime Minister Viorica Dancila reconfirmed Romania's interest in strengthening relations with the Israeli State in the strategic cooperation field, cyber and energy security, medicine, research and innovation," reads the release.

Moreover, the two PMs also voiced their satisfaction with the advancement of negotiations in concluding the Romania - Israel Partnership in the new technologies field, of a manner that is expected to boost the mutual interest of the business communities in the two countries, in order to capitalise on the economic potential of our country, and also of Israel. They also underscored the importance of strengthening relations in such fields as health, tourism and education.

They also discussed the possible modalities of cooperation between Romania and Israel, including from the perspective of the current presidency of the Council of the European Union being held by Romania.

Moreover, the Romanian and the Israeli PM had an exchange of opinions related to aspects concerning the current international situation, reads the same release.
