Gold price reaches a new high on Monday: 317.9323 lei/gram

A gram of gold rose on Monday by 1.0391 lei (0.33%) to 317.9323 from 316.8932, as announced by the National Bank of Romania (NBR) on Friday, again recording a record high.

The national currency appreciated on Monday against the euro, which was calculated by the National Bank of Romania (NBR) at 4.9671 lei, down by 0.20 bani (-0.04%) from the previous quotation of 4.9691 lei.

The value of the leu has increased against the dollar, the American currency being quoted at 4.5397 lei dropping by 0.66 bani (-0.15%) as compared to the previous meeting, when it was 4.5463 lei.

Similarly, the national currency appreciated by comparison to the Swiss Franc, calculated by BNR at 5.1768 lei dropping by 0.99 bani (-0.19%) against 5.1867 lei the previous quotation.
