Launch event of the OECD Economic Survey of Romania 2024 at Victoria Palace

Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu will host on Tuesday, at the Victoria Palace of Government, the launch event of the OECD Economic Survey of Romania 2024, in the presence of OECD secretary-general Mathias Cormann.

According to a Government press release, the event will be attended by Romanian officials, members of the National Committee for Romania's accession to the OECD, representatives of public institutions involved in the study, as well as representatives of business and trade unions.

"Obtaining OECD membership remains Romania's most important strategic objective, after joining NATO and the European Union, and one that is assumed by the entire political class. Romania's government is fully committed to making progress both in terms of reforms, modernisation and development, and through a sustained dialogue with the organisation and its member states," said prime minister Marcel Ciolacu, quoted in the press release.

The Economic Study of Romania 2024 includes a macroeconomic analysis of structural policies, as well as a special chapter dedicated to a relevant horizontal theme. In the current edition, the special chapter focuses on the decarbonisation of the economy, reads the cited source.
