Oscar awarded films presented by US Embassy at National Library

Academy nominated or prized movies will be presented as part of the program “The afternoon film” over July 23- September 27, at the American Corner in Bucharest, located at the National Library of Romania, the US Embassy to Bucharest informs. The films will run every day, Monday through Friday, from 2.00 p.m., except for the period August 15-30, when the National Library is closed.

The films will have English titles. Some of the most famous movies are “One flew over the cuckoo’s nest” (starring Jack Nicholson). “Forrest Gump” (with Tom Hanks), “The Shawshank Redemption (Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman), “Erin Brockovich (Julia Roberts) and “A beautiful mind” (Russell Crowe).

American Corner Bucharest is based in the National Library of Romania, 22 Unirii Blvd, room E 01-03.
