PM Ponta's visit to Azerbaijan on agenda of ForMin Corlatean's talks with Azeri Premier
During his meeting this Friday in Baku with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Titus Corlatean mentioned preparative steps for the Romanian Prime Minister's visit this year to this country in the Caucasus region; Corlatean also renewed the invitation for the Azeri Premier to come to Romania.
'Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean was received on Friday by Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade on the occasion of the official visit the Romanian chief diplomat paid to Baku over April 25-26. The Romanian official highlighted the excellent relations between Romania and Azerbaijan which are defined by the Strategic Partnership established in 2009, whose development directions have been further detailed through the underlying Action Plan signed in 2011.
Minister Corlatean highlighted the role of governmental dialogue and especially that of dialogue at the level of government heads for boosting bilateral sectoral cooperation, also evoking the steps taken in preparation of the visit of the Romanian Prime Minister to Azerbaijan this year. He also renewed the invitation to the Azeri Prime Minister to visit Romania,' the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs in a release.
