Romania signed in New York a historic agreement on climate change
Over 155 countries, Romania included, have signed in New York a historic agreement on climate change, reads a press statement released by Romania's Ministry of the Environment, Waters and Forestry (MMAP) on Friday.
The main goal of the agreement is containing global temperature increase to maximum 2 degrees Celsius. The agreement was negotiated and agreed upon worldwide at a December 12, 2015 Paris Climate Change Conference.
Representing Romania in the meeting for the official signing of the climate change agreement was a delegation headed by Environment Minister Cristiana Pasca Palmer.
