Statistics: În January 2019, trade deficit was higher by 1.6pct in exports, 9.2pct in imports
The trade deficit (FOB/CIF) in January climbed to EUR 1.26 billion, higher by EUR 481.9 million vs the trade deficit recorded in January 2018, according to data released Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
In January 2019, the FOB exports amounted to EUR 5.510 billion, while the CIF imports parked at EUR 6.770 billion. Against January 2018, the January 2019 exports grew by 1.6pct, and the imports went up by 9.2pct.
In January 2019, important shares in the experts and imports' structure were held by the following groups of goods: transport vehicles and equipment (48.3pct at export and 36.8pct at import) and other manufactured goods (32.4pct for export and 29.8pct for import).
The value of the intra-EU28 exchanges of goods in January 2019 parked at EUR 4.336 billion in outputs and EUR 5.024 billion in inputs, counting for 78.7pct of total exports and 74.2pct of total imports.
The value of the extra-EU28 exchanges of goods in January 2019 stood at EUR 1.175 billion in exports and EUR 1.746 billion in imports, meaning 21.3pct of total exports and 25.8pct of total imports.
