Survey: Over 61 percent of Romanian employees are happy at their current job

Over 61 percent of Romanian employees report being happy at their current job, found a survey conducted by a recruitment company on its website, the company informed in a release.

The #HappyAtTheJob questionnaire starts with the question "Are you happy?", which received a response in the affirmative from 65 percent of the participants. Job satisfaction was assessed through five main pillars of happiness in professional life: passion, honesty, balance between personal and professional life, the impact of the activity in the company and career evolution.

No less than 68 percent of the respondents said they were passionate about their job and confirmed that they put passion in their everyday activity, 56 percent said they feel there is transparency at work, and 63 percent said they manage to keep a healthy balance between personal and professional life.

Also, 70 percent of the respondents - the highest percentage in the entire survey - said they feel that their work makes the difference in the company or in society in one way or another and 46 percent consider that they are in the right place and have the necessary opportunities to develop at the job.

Overall, 26 percent of the respondents said they were completely happy at the job from all points of view, while less than 10 percent of the surveyed answered in the negative to all questions. Of those who said they enjoy the balance between their personal and professional life, 4 in 10 said they would like their work to have a greater impact in the company or in society. At the same time, one third of those who do not see the impact of their work are nevertheless very passionate about their daily work.

The survey is part of the #HappyAtTheJob online campaign that ran on the eJobs.ro platform. Over 123,000 Romanians, both employees and entrepreneurs, company managers or bloggers from all over the country declared their level of happiness by answering the questionnaire between October - November 2016.
