Two auto giants announce new hiring wave in Romania

The Germans from Leoni and Draxlmaier continue investigations in auto parts manufacture in Romania and are recruiting new employees to cope with orders from automobile factories from Western Europe.

The cable producer for the car industry Leoni Wiring Systems Ro from Bistrita is recruiting 300 unskilled workers for part assembly and mounting. Leoni has about 17,000 employees in three factories at local level and continue hiring, according to previous information supplied by the company. Leoni employees in Romania represent 22% of the global labour force of the group, according to Ziarul Financiar.

Draxlmaier owns five production units in Satu Mare, Timisoara, Pitesti, Codlea and Hunedoara with 15,000 employees. “The premium auto market is in a growing trend and Draxlmaier Group, as auto part supplier for luxury cars will continue investments in the region. Most employees of the group are in Romania and we will continue recruiting campaigns, according to requests coming from customers,” company officials declared.
