Telecom.IT: Samsung new Galaxy S4 has reached Romania
Samsung Romania launched the new Galaxy S4 in the local market. It is a top smart phone made by the South Korean producer with sales estimated at 25-30%, higher than for the present Galaxy S3.
“We may have sales of over 150,000 units by the end of the year. We have orders from Orange and other partners, but we cannot reveal their names yet,” said Sorin Manea , head of the telecom division at Samsung Romania and Bulgaria.
S3 and S4 will be sold in parallel. “S4 will be now bought by early adopters, as of the end of the month. S3 and S4 will be sold in parallel as long as needed,” Manea added. As of June 1, 2012, when it was launched in the local market until the end of the last year, the smart phone recorded sales of over 100,000 units.
For 2013 the Samsung official estimates a doubling of sales considering that 2013 is also the year when LTE/4G technology was launched for mobile phones with transfer speed of 100 Mbs.
