Auto exports would reach 11 billion euro in 2012

Auto exports and auto parts will increase in 2012 to 11 billion euro, from 10.3 billion euro in 2011, an important contribution being that of Renault Romania, Constantin Stroe, chairman of ACAROM said, according to Mediafax. “ I think that exports of cars and car parts will reach 11 billion euro in 2012. I rely on the activity at Dacia, 82% of the portfolio being already signed. We will launch a new car, we will put to function a new engine factory and a new capacity for gearboxes. The production of the last two units will go 50% for export, Stroe said, as chairman of ACAROM and vice-chairman of Automobile Dacia.

He added that Ford could contribute to the increase of exports in the domain, as well as the producers of auto parts. This year the contribution of auto industry to export was 10.33 billion euro out of which 3.3billion euro is the commerce with cars and 7 billion euro that with car parts, Stroe said at a seminar organized by the National Association of Exporters and Importers of Romania.

Starting next year, Dacia in Mioveni will produce the second generation of Logan. During the first part of the year, Ford in Craiova will produce the first units of B-Max, completely produced in Romania.
ANEIR estimates for this year exports of 45 billion euro, up by 20%.
