Eurostat: Romania's May inflation rate, EU third-highest

In May 2010 Greece had the highest annual inflation rate in the European Union (5.3 percent), closely followed by Hungary (4.9 percent) and Romania (4.4 percent), whereas in the euro area the annual inflation rate advanced slightly to 1.6 percent in the same month (from 1.5 percent in April) and the EU annual inflation rate remained unchanged at 2.0 percent, shows a revised estimate published on Wednesday by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat).
