Government drops local border-crossing taxes

The Romanian Government on Wednesday repealed the emergency ordinance on the setting up of single offices at Romania’s checkpoints, which represented the legal framework for the introduction by some local councils of ecological, cleaning and border-crossing taxes, the Romanian Government’s spokesperson Oana Marinescu announced.
