INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION INCREASED BY 0.7% IN NOVEMBER 2017 COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS MONTH

In November 2017, industrial production decreased by 0.7% as gross series compared to the previous month and was up 0.7% as series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, industrial production rose by 9.2% as gross series and was up 9.5% as series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality.

In the 1.I?30.XI.2017 period, industrial production increased by 8.3% as gross series compared to the 1.I?30.XI.2016 period and rose by 8.9% as series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality.
Romania's industrial output increased by 8.3 percent in the first 11 months of 2017, compared to the similar period of 2016, according to data with the National Institute of Statistics (INS) sent on Thursday.
"Between January-November 2017, compared to January-November 2016, the industrial output (raw data) increased by 8.3 percent following increases in all three industrial sectors: manufacturing, (+9.0 percent), mining and quarrying (+6.0 percent) and the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (+1.2 percent)," the document reveals.
The industrial output adjusted for work days and seasonality increased by 8.9 percent.
"In November 2017, the industrial output declined compare to the previous month by 0.7 percent as gross series and it increased by 0.7 percent as series adjusted for work days and seasonality. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the industrial output increased both as gross series and adjusted for working days and seasonality, by 9.2 percent and by 9.5 percent, respectively," the INS informs.
