Romania to be presented as travel destination at Holiday World Show Dublin
Romania will be presented as a travel destination in Ireland, at the international fair titled the Holiday World Show (HWS) Dublin, that will take place in the period 27 - 29 January 2017, the Ministry of Tourism informed on Thursday.
"The presence at the HWS 2017 is an excellent occasion of promoting the tourism in Romania, of capitalizing on new collaboration opportunities, both with Irish partners and with other international exhibitors, offering our country the possibility to become a favorite vacation destination, alongside other European and worldwide destinations, taking into account that Romania, as a travel destination, is currently too little known to the Irish public," the representatives of the Tourism Ministry say.
The Holiday World Show Dublin is the largest tourism fair on the Irish market. The event is dedicated to tour-operators, the specialized press, but also to the wide public, recording each year a constant increase of the profile exhibitors and visitors from around the world. In 2016, the fair was attended by 406 exhibitors and the number of visitors exceeded 50,000. The Holiday World Show gathers national and regional travel representations, hotels and travel agencies, airline companies and airport authorities from Europe, USA, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
In this year's edition, the Tourism Ministry will have a stand of 18 square meters, that will host eight Romanian co-exhibitors — tour-operator travel agencies, a medical tourism company and the Blue Air airline company. Romania's participation is organized by the Tourism Promotion and Information Office of Romania in London, with the support of the Embassy of Romania to the Republic of Ireland.
