Study: the main sources of information for the Romanians: TV, social networks and news sites
The sources of information for the Romanians are television, social networks and news sites and for two thirds (66%) of them the domain of interest is health, show the results of a study regarding the relevance of the brands for the Romanian consumers, published on Monday.
According to the research ‘ The relevance of the brands. What matters for the consumers’ made by iSense Solution for Golin Romania, the messages sent in the public space by the brands must be practical (69%) to draw attention. Similarly, over half of the interviewed ones (56%) stated that the messages must be informative and 35% funny or entertaining.
On the other hand, 19% of the Romanians are interested by inspirational information, 18% by surprising ones, 10% popular information or fashion and 7% shocking ones.
As regards the sources of information preferred by the Romanians the top is led by TV and social networks followed by news sites and companies sites. The hierarchy includes family, friends or collegues..
According to the quoted source in 2017, the Romanians offered attention to the information regarding health, (66%), economy (64%) those about different products acquired (59%) family/friends (59%) DYI/video/culinary recipes (57%).
For 2018, the interest points will be the domains of science and technology (51%) health (50%) and the financial one (45%) while the news about celebrities will drop in relevance.
At global level, the consumers were more interested by the information referring to politics (59%), entertainment (57%) news about celebrities (55%) or the domain of economy (49%).
The data were collected online through the panel research Romania.ro in August 2017 on a sample of 500 interviewees, internet users in the urban and rural environment, aged between 18 – 65 and the error margin is +/- 4.38% at a level of trust of 95%.
