The deficit of the state budget will drop in 2010 at 35 billion lei
The deficit of the state budget for 2010 is programmed at 35.04 billion lei, respectively 6.66% of GDP dropping by 6.2 billion lei ( 1.23 % of GDP) against the negative balance approved for this year.
The state budget is established for income at the sum of 66.65 billion lei and the expenditure worth 101.67 billion lei, with a deficit of 35.02 billion lei” the draft budget for 2010 shows.
Thus, the income at the budget is programmed to grow next year by 9.95 billion lei, 1.9% of GDP while the expenditure will be increased by 3.73 billion lei, namely 0.71 % of GDP.
The state secretary in the ministry of public finances Gheorghe Gherghina stated at the end of October that the consolidated budget for 2010 will be built on total income of 166.709 billion lei ( 31.75% of GDP) and expenditure of 197.904 billion lei ( 37.68% GDP) with a budgetary deficit of 5.9% of GDP.
The estimated GDP for next year is 525.1 billion lei growing in real terms by 0.5%. For 2010, the finances take into consideration an average exchange rate of 4.2 leieuro and an inflation of 3.7%.
Thus, the minister of finances expects for next year a slight increase of income as balance in the GDP and a reduction by 1.2 percentage points of budgetary expenditure.
For this year, the income at consolidated budget are estimated at 157.2 billion lei ( 31.6% of GDP) and the expenditure at 193.7 billion lei ( 38.9% of GDP) reported at a GDP of 497.3 billion lei. For the state budget, the finances rely on income of 56.7 billion lei and programmed expenditure of 97.94 billion lei.
