President Basescu received at the Cotroceni Palace the delegation of the European Investment Bank
Romania's President Traian Basescu on Thursday asked the help of the European Investment Bank (EIB) for identifying some solutions for funding the implementing of the last stage of connecting the Republic of Moldova's electric grids to Romania.
'President Traian Basescu on Thursday received at the Cotroceni Palace the delegation of the European Investment Bank headed by EIB President Werner Hoyer. Traian Basescu thanked for the very good collaboration the European Investment Bank had with the authorities of Romania, but also with the business environment, and asked the intensification of the EIB aid in promoting the use of European money for guaranteeing the access of SMEs to funding. At the same time, Traian Basescu asked EIB's help for identifying some solutions for funding the implementing of the last stage of connecting the Republic of Moldova's electric grids to Romania,' the Presidential Administration informs in a release remitted to Agerpres.
EIB President Werner Hoyer reconfirmed the intention of initiating and completing a high number of projects in Romania and gave thanks for the good collaboration the institution he headed had with Romania.
