Livestock on rise in first 11 months of 2006

The livestock (cattle, swine, sheep, goats) grew and the poultry dropped on December 1, 2006, as against the same period in 2005, according to figures centralised by the National Statistics Institute (INS). The overall number of cattle on December 1, 2006 reported a growth of 2.5 percent up to 2.93 million heads.
