Optimistic European statistics on agricultural developments in Romania

Real agricultural income per worker in Romania increased twice in 2006 compared with the average recorded by the EU-27 countries.According to statistics released by Eurostat, the rise was 7.7 percent in Romania and 3.8 percent in the EU-27, which places Romania sixth, after the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, France and Denmark, all countries where there were higher producer prices and subsidies.In Romania, the increase (+7.7%) was mainly driven by a drop in intermediate consumption ...
