World Bank contributing $700,000 toward forestry development in Romania

The Romanian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development (MAPDR) has started a public awareness campaign called 'Forest means more than wood,' as part of a $700,000 forestry development project carried out with financial support from the World Bank.The public awareness campaign will be conducted throughout 2008 to present the functions of forests as more than wood providers.Over 2.3 million hectares of forestland have so far been returned to former owners and applications for the ...
